Responsibilities

Manage the full policy lifecycle including new business, renewals, endorsements and claims support, ensuring a seamless and positive client experience
Conduct in-person client meetings to develop, manage and service a portfolio of commercial lines insurance accounts while building long-term client relationships
Prepare, review and issue insurance applications, quotations, binders and certificates of insurance for new business, renewals and policy endorsements with accuracy and efficiency
Deliver professional and persuasive presentations of insurance quotations, clearly communicating coverage options and value to clients
Issue new policies and policy changes through carrier online portals while cultivating strong professional relationships with underwriters
Identify new business opportunities and drive premium growth by recommending appropriate coverages, upselling, cross-selling and bundling insurance products
Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic prospecting, business planning, and sales forecasting
Develop and maintain proficiency in Acturis and CompuQuote (Applied Rating Services)
Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

RIBO licence (Required)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines
Proven ability to prepare competitive insurance quotations and identify upselling, cross-selling and remarketing opportunities
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex insurance products clearly
Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume client portfolio while maintaining service excellence
Proficient in insurance company portals and broker management systems; Acturis and CompuQuote experience is an asset
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management skills

Full-Time On-site, Scarborough Min. 2 Years Experience

Responsibilities

Internal review and processing of all commercial new business applications, renewals, endorsements and cancellations submitted by Producers and CSRs
Ensure all required documents have been attached to the Broker Management System (Acturis)
Assist Producers and CSRs with general inquiries when required
Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails from Producers, CSRs and carrier underwriters, providing prompt and efficient service
Collaborate and build strong relationships with colleagues and carrier underwriters
Adhere to service standards in accordance with carrier and internal company guidelines
Assist with occasional reception duties including handling phone lines, transferring calls and sorting incoming/outgoing mail

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial insurance
Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages and policy servicing
Computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and navigate carrier portals and broker management systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and underwriters
Proven ability to review and manage client accounts diligently, ensuring documentation and service requests are completed accurately and within timelines
Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
